Christine M. Stroble, Ph.D. is the visionary founder of Teen Moms Anonymous-- a non-profit, 12-step support group and mentorship program for any women who experienced a teen pregnancy (whether she gave birth and/or had an abortion) and is consumed with toxic shame.
Their mission is to provide participants with the information, resources and opportunities they need to heal; become more confident, skilled women and mothers; and break the multigenerational cycle of toxic shame and teenage pregnancy affecting their children.
Established in 2020 and serving the Greenville/Spartanburg area of South Carolina, Teen Moms Anonymous offers weekly in-person support groups. No virtual/online classes are offered.
Driven by her extensive research and professional expertise, Dr. Stroble recognized the profound emotional wounds that many women who experienced a teen pregnancy carry with them. She understood that so many are consumed with toxic shame and it is destroying their lives. Understanding the urgent need for healing, she was inspired to create a supportive and nurturing environment where they could find solace and strength.
Dr. Stroble is deeply committed to supporting others. The daughter of a teenage mother, she was caught in the cycle of toxic shame and teen pregnancy. Dr. Stroble's story is one of breaking the cycle of teen pregnancy and healing her toxic shame—a journey she now helps women embark on through Teen Moms Anonymous.
Drawing on her personal experience, Dr. Stroble founded Teen Moms Anonymous as a Christ-centered ministry. She knew that to heal from our toxic shame and find our way back to ourselves and each other, we have to restore our relationship with God--our creator and source.
